CasCaDas ArtSpace

Cascadas (CCD) ArtSpace is an independent, multifunctional feminist space dedicated to exhibitions, residencies, and individual and collective research. Located in the heart of Barcelona’s Raval neighbourhood, CCD draws from the district’s history of continual transformation and nonconformity. Once the medieval rabad beyond the city walls, the Raval remains a space of porous identities, cultural intersection, and creative reinvention.

Working from this eccentric, marginal, and cosmopolitan position, Cascadas fosters collaboration, cultural exchange, and experimental approaches to artistic practice and experience. The space embraces openness, fluidity, and processes that resist fixed definitions.

At its core, CCD ArtSpace is a curatorial initiative supporting national and international emerging and mid-career artists through site-responsive exhibitions, research, and collaborative projects.
