Nectar, in collaboration with Esproneda Institute of Art & Culture and On Mediation, presents “Untitled_3”, a group exhibition that shows the projects developed by the four artists during Nectar multidisciplinary art residency program, held from June 22th to July 12th 2023. NectART Artist in Residence Program is based on an open call for project proposals, which allows resident artists to delve into their artistic and creative process in a rural environment and to connect their practice with the Barcelona art scene with the collaboration of On Mediation and the exhibition Espronceda exhibition space within the frame of Art Nou festival. The exhibition will welcome multidisciplinary artists and creative practitioners who are challenging the assumptions made about rural life and culture, providing a new vision of the countryside grounded in everyday experience of the rural-urban binary. By pointing out the question of how art and culture can be used as an element to create rural-urban synergies, resident artists are invited to explore and contribute to this pairing. In these uncertain times, a reunion between the city and the countryside may be the key to society’s transition towards a more sustainable future.
