Negative Capability

Juan Narowé’s work moves between drawing and painting with frequent forays into self-publishing and graphic work.Always based on drawing as a basic element, the individual project that AnaMas Projects will show will include a wide range of languages. His imagination and narratives are nourished by sophisticated references to different disciplines, such as literature and cinema. The many elements and characters that will appear are born of a slow theoretical sedimentation and a wide plastic reflection. Narowé’s starting point is often small fragments, details, and memories of a table, a conversation, or an encounter between innocuous remnants of a shared moment. Stories and objects of great simplicity in appearance, but in the hands of the artists are discovered with an infinitely captivating power to evoke and reveal.
