Knock on wood

The exhibition Knock on Wood takes its title from the popular gesture, expression, and superstition of the same name. Starting from the vulnerability associated with this phenomenon, linked to fear or desire, it seeks to explore the contemporary need to construct collective narratives of meaning, as well as the ritualization of the self.

Using objects that function simultaneously as template and protection, in a kind of amulet or ritual, the exhibition aims to unfold the affective dimension that constitutes us through materiality and language, understood as agents of possibility and the construction of meaning.
