Mal de aire

Mal de aire is the result of the will to explore, through artistic practice, certain abstract dynamics that affect bodies and operate under the expanded concept of “environment”.
On the one hand, it is an investigation around those imperceptible forces, such as air, that are capable of generating changes in the physical, and the imaginaries that derive from them.  At the same time, it is an exploration around the idea of variation applied to forms or materials previously worked on by the artist, forming a kind of genealogy on the environmental or aerial.
Mal de aire questions the potential inherent in the material and its context to vary its state, as well as the changing relationships that are established between a body and the space it inhabits, and the way in which both affect each other. Curated by Óscar Morales Navarro.
