Rubén González Bonilla (Barcelona, 1997) studied photography at the EASD Josep Serra i Abella and earned a master’s degree in Documentary and Photojournalism at the IEFC.
González Bonilla’s work delves into language and its energetic shifts. His practice does not stem from a desire to show off, but rather from an intimate urgency to give form to what moves him. Through photography and textiles, he establishes a ritualistic relationship in which both mediums seek and need one another, unfolding a territory where matter becomes memory and experience.
