
Jitka Králová completed her Bachelor’s degree in art education with a focus on education at Palacký University in Olomouc and her Master’s degree at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava in the studio of drawing, which she completed in 2022. During her studies, she completed two Erasmus internships at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk,Poland. Currently she is a student of the 1st year of the PhD programme in Art Education (Theory of Art Pedagogy and Art Production) at Palacký University in Olomouc. Her doctoral thesis explores the relationship between environmental art and art education. Jitka Králová has been active on the art scene since 2018 and has held numerous group and solo exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. She combines various techniques, materials and processes in her work; she is represented by painting, ceramics, as well as conceptual approaches. She often works with natural environments and the in situ process method. Her main theme is the relationship between humans and the natural environment. She looks at this relationship from different angles, from a critical approach to a contemplative, personal experience. In her projects she has explored in detail the theme of walking in the landscape and the phenomenon of collecting natural objects, especially precious stones.
