Helena Laguna Bastante (Terrassa, 2000) is an interdisciplinary artist and curator from Terrassa (Barcelona). Her practice is articulated through a sustained interest in writing, its limits, and in the potential of the body and gesture as spaces of relation, attention, and encounter. Through process-based and research methodologies, her work unfolds in dialogue with the contexts in which it is situated, exploring formats that move between sculpture, writing, performance, action, and curating.
She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, a postgraduate degree in Curating from EINA (Barcelona), and a Master’s degree in Artistic Research and Production from the University of Barcelona. She is currently a lecturer at EINA.
Her recent trajectory has mainly developed within the framework of research grants and residencies, understood as spaces for collective thinking and experimentation. She has been selected for programs such as Can Felipa Arts Visuals, L’Estruch, the Fundación Guasch Coranty grants, the Curatorial Research Program of Fundació Brossa, or POLS at the Museu Tàpies, among others. Her work has been presented in institutional and exhibition contexts such as Manifesta 15, La Panera, Fundació Joan Miró, La Capella, Centre d’Arts Santa Mònica, Fundació Brossa, MACBA, and the Centro Cultural de España in Buenos Aires.
