Emma Prats (Barcelona, 2001) works from culturally situated gestures capable of activating forms of recognition. Through minimal exercises, she suggests a shift in attention, opening space for the affective dimension that intervenes in the construction of narratives of meaning and in processes of identification and encoding.

She has participated in the independent study programs JAI Institute of Artistic Practices (Tabakalera Donosti, Artium, and Museo Oteiza, 2025), Organismo Año Uno (TBA21, 2024-2025), and the self-managed artistic research group Departament Exotèric (MACBA, 2021-2023).
Her work has been shown at the Fundació Miró within the framework of Lluerna 2026 (Barcelona, 2026), Pluto (Valencia, 2025), Sala d’Art Jove (Barcelona, 2024), ART NOU and MACBA within the framework of Sala d’Art Jove (Barcelona, 2024).
