El Xarnego is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Barcelona whose practice explores the intersections of identity, belonging, memory, and the body through installation, video, performance, and sculpture, from a critical perspective shaped by his mixed cultural heritage.

He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art Villa Arson (Nice) and completed funded master’s programs at Chelsea College of Arts (University of the Arts London) and Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (São Paulo), expanding a transdisciplinary practice centered on movement and cinema.

He has collaborated with international artists and institutions and has presented his work in a range of independent, alternative, and institutional contexts. He currently develops his practice within the local scene of his hometown, connected to activist collectives such as Altaveu Jove and self-managed community projects.
