Auri Alós (El Prat de Llobregat, 2000) is an art historian specializing in live arts and new media, as well as an artistic researcher, cultural educator, and PhD candidate in contemporary art theory. Her practice unfolds at the intersection of curatorship, performance, and research, configuring projects that exceed conventional categories between the scenic and the exhibitionary, articulated through experimental methodologies and relational practices linked to community art.
Her line of work examines new forms of institutionality, the democratization of cultural production processes, and the possibility of a return to communal ritual through non-conventional artistic interventions. From a search for transcendence traversed by immanence, she establishes a dialogue between the ancestral and digital culture that can be read as a critical anthropology of Generation Z. In this sense, her projects intervene in the white cube as a space of symbolic friction, where the personal is revealed as structurally political, and where references to pop and neo-Dada engage with the genealogies of body art from the 1970s and 1980s.
As an artist, she develops a conceptual and relational practice primarily materialized in multimedia installations and ephemeral or bodily devices. Among her individual projects are Robant espai a la paret d’un home ric (2023), Let’s hope the sun will show us the path (2025), and Metaxis del precipici (2026), as well as the performative cycles La convivència (2023), Crema la llar amb el caliu comunitari (2024), Taules (2024), and Corporificacions (2025–2026). In the curatorial field, she has coordinated exhibitions such as Happy Birthday! (2023), La Pesta (2024), Habitar la fuga (2025), and Abans que desaparegui (2026), and has participated as an advisor or project mentor in initiatives promoted by institutions and spaces such as the Centre d’Arts Santa Mònica, the Centre d’Art Tecla Sala, and /UNZIP.
In the pedagogical sphere, she has accompanied more than one hundred young artistic projects as head of the cultural program at Palau Alòs, and has delivered classes, workshops, seminars, and lectures in collaboration with various institutions and independent spaces. She currently designs and coordinates education and mediation programs for Antic Teatre, Xarxaprod, Club9, and the Panoràmic Festival, and collaborates in artistic and community mediation processes with Casa R.A.R.O., Roca Umbert, Acobert, and Muxart, among others. Her emerging trajectory is defined by a sustained commitment to the collectivization of body arts and to research in experimental pedagogies that connect ephemeral and conceptual practices with local community networks.
