Art Nou is the emerging art festival in Barcelona and Hospitalet that offers young national and international creators the opportunity to establish their first professional relationship with the art market, galleries, self-managed spaces, and institutions dedicated to emerging art. The festival commits one more year to stimulate young production, reclaim the galleries as spaces for meeting and debate, and put art agents and the general public in contact.

The 12th edition of Art Nou will begin on June 28 with the opening of all exhibitions in Barcelona (from 5 to 8 p.m.) and on June 29 with those in L’Hospitalet (from 5 to 9 p.m.), where the Inauguration of this year’s edition in the Isaac Peral Building with the site-specific Lucía Bayón in collaboration with Èlia Bagó and Sara Torres (Sociedad 0). On September 1st (19 a 21 h), the closing ceremony will be held in La Capella with a performance by Manuel Rodríguez.

Art Nou will offer a program of exhibitions with thirty-four shows and more than fifty artists; an extensive program of activities that includes guided tours, openings, conversations with artists, performances, projections and actions in galleries, institutions and independent spaces; and activities for professionals such as visits and Open Studios in workshops and residence and production centers such as Hangar and La Escocesa in Barcelona, or FASE in Hospitalet de Llobregat.

Art-o-Rama Award

To participate in the Art-o-Rama Marseille 2024 fair for one of the participating galleries with all expenses paid.

Fundació Sorigué Award

With an economic endowment of 2000 euros for an artist in concept of production.

Winner: Mercedes Pimiento

Hotel Wittmore Award

With an economic endowment of 700 euros for three artists in concept of exhibition.
